Dog & Partridge Hotel, The Old Brewery, Brewery Yard, 26 Wallgate, Wigan, Greater Manchester WN1 1JQ

A substantial brewhouse stood at the rear of the Dog & Partridge Hotel (renamed The Last Orders). Part of the brewery was demolished sometime after the turn of the 20th century but most remains intact after about 150 years. A directory advertisement of 1876 for the Dog & Partridge gives the information that "Home-brewed" ales were available and the proprietor was Thurstan Fairhurst. The name can be linked to a number of other pubs around Wigan and there is probably a family link to James Fairhurst Ltd of the Warrington Lane brewery.

Following the closure of the original brewery, the building was used for various industrial and storage uses.

Brewing restarted by All Gates Brewery (aka AllGates) in 2006, then in 2018 by the Wigan Brewhouse.
