Jennings Brothers Ltd, Castle Brewery, Castlegate, Cockermouth, Cumbria

Founded at Lorton 1828 and concentrated at Cockermouth by 1887 following the purchase of Wyndham’s brewery. Public company registered in the same year with 41 tied houses. Acquired by Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries Ltd in 2005.

In October 2022, owners Carlsberg Marstons Brewing Company closed Jennings Brewery, with production of the beers transferred to other Marston breweries.
