Royal Eagle Brewery, Boulter’s Hotel, High Street, Aldershot, Hampshire

The hotel was founded in 1857 by John Boulter. It appears that John may have started brewing in 1859. By 1860 the brewery had the contract to supply the Royal Pavilion in Aldershot with beer.

The brewery appears to have closed by 1862, and on 29 July 1863, John auctioned off the brewery.

More information about brewing in Aldershot can be found in the BHS Journal article: "DOOMED TO FAILURE? THE HISTORY OF BREWING IN ALDERSHOT" by Roger Deason
