This recent homebrew concern was formed in August, 1981 and was in business for three years, closing finally in 1984. The brewery produced only one draught beer named after the pub, with an O.G. of 1036. Two bottled beers were produced in 1981. Foundation Ale and Royal Wedding Ale which was bottled in both half pint and nip size bottles. The brewing plant was second hand from Dyers of Bolton. The Pheasant continues to retail beer as a free house, external signs still indicating "Pheasant Bitter" in 1991.
