Submitting articles to Brewery History

Brewery History is keen to publish original research on any aspect of the brewing industry. There is no limit to the length of articles or to the amount of illustrations they contain (although it should be noted that presently there is no facility for reproducing colour figures).

Since the beginning of 2008 Brewery History provides the option for authors to have their articles peer-reviewed. It is hoped that this will both encourage new submissions and raise their quality. Also, by having their work assessed by two or more expert referees, it will help authors improve not only the article itself, but also their research as a whole. The Editor will decide, on the basis of the referees' reports, if the article is to be accepted, rejected or revised. The Editor encourages authors to opt for this process, but is still perfectly happy to consider pieces provided for immediate publication. Please make clear upon submission whether you wish to have your article peer-reviewed or not.
