Barclay, Perkins & Co. Ltd, Park Street, Southwark, London SE1
Founded 1616 by James Monger and became Barclay, Perkins in 1781. Registered June 1896.
Breweries acquired by Barclay, Perkins before the merger with Courage:
- Worboys & Jarman Ltd of Cambridge in September 1920.
- Pagden Ltd of Epsom in September 1921, registered 1925 and was resold to Mellersh & Neale Ltd in June 1931 with 16 houses.
- Chaplin & Co. Ltd of Harlow in January 1926 with 25 tied houses, and brewing ceased.
- George Scales, Cambridge Brewery in 1926 with 13 tied houses. Then sold to Wells & Winch Ltd in 1938.
- Style & Winch Ltd of Maidstone in March 1929 with 600 tied houses. Ceased brewing 1965 and the brewery was demolished.
Merged with Courage & Co. Ltd in 1955 to form Courage & Barclay Ltd. Brewing other than lager ceased 1958 and the site was then rebuilt as a bottling plant. Lager brewing ceased 1962/3, probably on the opening of the Harp plant at Alton and the Park Street site was later redeveloped.

Anchor Terrace is a listed building and plaques have been erected in the area to record the history of the brewery, see images below.

This "International Incident" plaque reads: AN INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT OCCURRED HERE - 1850. GENERAL HAYNAU "THE AUSTRIAN BUTCHER" WAS RECOGNISED AND ATTACKED BY BARCLAY & PARKINS DRAYMEN
