Queens Head, 1 Spilsby Road (Bargate Bridge), Boston, Lincolnshire

John Thorpe was recorded as brewing here between 1835 and 1894 although an advertisement of 1875 stated he had been in business for 14 years. The premises had been offered for sale in 1838 with 4 other pubs. It was controlled by Clarke, Gee & Co., brewers, in 1813.

Thorpe died in 1894 after a long and painful illness. The premises became available for sale. In 1894 the Boston Guardian recorded the hotel and brewery had been sold for £2,550 to Mowbray and Co, brewers of Grantham.

In 1963, The Queens Head permanently closed and was demolished to make way for the Inner Relief Road (John Adams Way).
