Blackawton Brewery

Blackawton Brewery, Barnlee Lodge, Ilsington, near Newton Abbott, Devon TQ13 9RG

Founded by Nigel Fitzhugh 1977 in Blackawton, Devon in part of a converted smithy. Moved to Washbourne, near Totnes, Devon in 1981, but ceased brewing in 2001.

They re-opened under new management at Unit 14, Saltash Business Park, Forge Lane in about 2001. In Summer 2003 they moved to larger premises at Unit 7 Peninsular Park, Forge Lane, Moorlands Trading Estate, Saltash.

2010s: Moved back to Devon, settling in Ilsington near Newton Abbott. It was reported that brewing was suspended in late 2011.
