Hewitt Brothers Ltd Grimsby Grimsby, 259 Cleethorpe Road Humber Hotel (former) A 1920s building with faience exterior tiling. On the parapet facing Cleethorpe Road, a monogram in relief: 'HB'. It has a tiled fascia with relief lettering: 'HEWITT'S', 'HEWITT'S GRIMSBY ALES'; but this is currently obscured by modern board signs. Converted to retail by 2014. RB 2003; PE 2003; Google 2009 and 2014 .

Hewitt Brothers Ltd Grimsby Grimsby, Pasture Street Duke of Wellington - in the early 1990s known as Hewitts Tavern At first floor on the curved corner, a large red roundel with a red background: 'H' with 'HEWITTS' along the bar of the 'H'. Facing Pasture Street, three windows with: 'HEWITT'S ALES GRIMSBY'. This was effectively Hewitt's brewery tap. It was re-vamped in the early 1990s as 'Hewitts Tavern' when this original style roundel and the windows were fitted. RB 2003; PE 2003; Google 2017 .

Bass & Co Ltd - Burton-upon-Trent, Tadcaster, etc Long Sutton, High Street Crown & Woolpack It had fading painted lettering on the hanging sign: 'BASS', plus red triangles. By 2016, the owners had added a replacement sign in the style of Soames of Spalding with a blue and white diagonal background, although it is not certain that this was a Soames pub. An old Frith postcard indicates that it was a Warwicks (Newark) house. BHK 2013; Google 2016; ACu 2022 .

'BASS FROM THE WOOD AND IN BOTTLE' ...'BASS ONLY'. This lettering has been chipped off and painted over; some of it is just discernible, but is very very faint.
