Gates Burton Brewery, Burton on Trent - 5 March 2014
Gates two beers; Reservoir at 4.6%ABV, 25 degrees EBC and 30BU and Damn at 5.0%ABV, 50 degrees EBC and 35BU

The malt room, pre-crushed from Bairds
Mashing takes place with a canoe paddle against a baffle in the mash tun
Two FVs with a cellar remote in between to cool the wort before fermentation
Everything is neat and tidy
The cooling coil is immersed in the hot wort and is cooled overnight to 20 degrees C
Yeast is kept in the fridge. Gates uses White Labs English Ale strain
Casks are scoured both inside and out. Gates has 35 of them
All the appropriate accreditations
