Joshua Tetley & Son Ltd Leeds York, 13 Lawrence Street Rose & Crown Internal. On the modern counter top, an oval brass plaque has been incorporated: 'ONE OF TETLEY'S FESTIVAL ALE HOUSES'. This pub was long-owned by Tetleys. SP 2016 .

Brett Brothers York York, 40 Stonegate Olde Starre Internal. There is a fine leaded-glass bar screen, probably dating from an 1890s refit by the brewery-owners at the time. Almost certainly the work of J W Knowles & Co, renowned craft glaziers whose Stonegate workshops were close by. Three panels with lettering: 'BRETT BROs' in the centre; 'STAR INN' each side. C J Melrose York York, 6 Bootham White Horse C J Melrose wasn't a brewer but a local wine merchant owning a small chain of York pubs. Under a first floor oriel window is a stone panel with 'CJM 1895'. Later a Thwaites's house. SP 2005 .
