Bass, Ratcliffe & Gretton Ltd Burton-upon-Trent Ireland: Cork, 13 MacCurtain Street Dan Lowrey's Two plaques on the frontage: 'BASS IN BOTTLE' and 'BASS ON DRAUGHT'. The exterior also features an old enamel Murphy's sign. Inside, there are fine old mirrors, including ones for Bass and Ind Coope. SP photo 2009 Picture

Beamish & Crawford Ltd Cork Ireland: Cork, Sharman Crawford Street Cork Technical Institute A plaque records that the Institute was built in 1911, and that the benefactor was A F Sharman Crawford, who was a partner in Beamish & Crawford's brewery. The road was also renamed after Mr Crawford. The Institute was built on the site of Arnott's Finbarr brewery. SP photo 2009 Picture

H & G Simonds Ltd Reading Malta: Valetta, corner of Strait Street Old Vic Cabaret (?) Painted on the curved stonework on the corner of the building is an old painted sign: 'SIMONDS' ... HOP LEAF ... ALES & STOUT'; and an illustration of a hop leaf in the centre. Simonds of Reading were involved in setting up a brewery in Malta to supply the troops stationed there. RMi photo 2012 Picture
