Mann, Crossman & Paulin - London & Burton-upon-Trent Bedford, 141 Midland Road Grafton Hotel A 'George and Dragon' in the ironwork atop the hanging sign; and two Mann's lanterns. Truman Hanbury Buxton & Co Ltd - London & Burton-upon-Trent Bedford, 141 Midland Road Grafton Hotel On the corner splay at first floor level, a Truman 'eagle' survives in a roundel. Watney Combe Reid & Co Ltd - Stag Brewery, Pimlico; and Mortlake Brewery Dunstable, 93 High Street South White Swan The hanging sign has 'WATNEYS', which looks genuinely old. Above the sign bracket is a roundel 'WATNEY COMBE REID ... 1898' surrounding an image of a stag. WRB photo 2008 Picture

J W Green - Phoenix Brewery, Park Street West, Luton Luton (Leagrave), Marsh Road Three Horseshoes (former) A decorative iron pole sign with scripted initials 'JWG' at the top of the sign. Although the pub was demolished in 1994 the sign still stands in the middle of a roundabout at the road junction which the pub formerly graced, and which is to this day known as the Three Horseshoes roundabout.
