The entries are in place-name order and follow the usual BHS pattern of first-known reference, ownership, brewers-proprietors, and in most cases the final demise of the company. The entries range from a single line where nothing more is known about the brewery to a few pages for a well-documented brewer (eg Vaux). Source references accompany each entry, and an index is included. |
