Brewery History Society

Sponsored by Young & Co’s Brewery and held at the Brewery Tap, High Street, Wandsworth, London SW18. Saturday 25 February 2006. 10.00am for 10.15.

The day starts with coffee and a tour of Young’s Brewery, the oldest site of continuous commercial brewing in the country. The rest of the day will be taken up with presentations from some of the country’s leading experts on the history of brewing and the licensed trades. The morning will be chaired by Geoff Brandwood, Chair of the Victorian Society, and the afternoon by Jeff Sechiari, Chair of the Brewery History Society.

Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival and in the afternoon. A buffet lunch is included.

The Brewery Tap is about 10 minutes walk from Wandsworth Town National rail station (buses 28 and 44 stop outside the station and go to the centre of Wandsworth).
