The pub had a Melbourne's mosaic floor in the entrance lobby and etched glass inside; but it was converted to commercial use by 2012, so these features may not have survived. Peter Walker & Sons Ltd - Warrington & Burton-upon-Trent Leeds - Armley, 86 Armley Road Albion (former) The pub had a major reconstruction in 1919 by the Warrington brewer Peter Walker using the Liverpool architects Prescott & Davies, when a red-tiled frontage and glazed fascia with 'ALBION ... WARRINGTON & BURTON ALES ... The ALBION' was installed. The building has been converted to offices, and the fascia is obscured by a modern board sign. Melbourne Brewery (Leeds) Ltd Leeds Leeds Centre, 2 Templar Street Templar Hotel A makeover by Melbourne Brewery in the 1930s. Green tiled faience at ground floor. The fascia has red raised lettering on cream faience tiles: 'TEMPLAR HOTEL ... LOUNGE ... MELBOURNE ALES ... VAULTS ... TEMPLAR HOTEL ... SALOON ... TEMPLAR HOTEL'. There are also several examples of the 'abstract' version of the 'Bowing Courtier' in the leaded upper window panes - a reliable indicator of a Melbourne's pub. (Also more modern Tetley signs.) On either side of the lobby to the bar are leaded windows containing the brewery's 'Bowing Courtier' logo.
