Hewitt Brothers Ltd Grimsby Doncaster, 15 Dockin Hill Road Stag Inn Built about 1935 by Hewitt's Brewery, this pub retains much of its original exterior with the brewery's livery. The ground floor is in pale cream faience; there are tiled panels with 'HEWITT'S ALES' and 'HEWITT'S GRIMSBY ALES'. The front gable has mosaic tiling: 'HEWITTS ALES' in gold lettering on a blue background. Between the windows on the side elevation are what appear to be copper panels with the pub name and two 'HB' monograms. More modern Bass signs on the side elevation have been removed. There are numerous references to the brewery. (1) 'Wm STONES LTD' between ground and first floor windows; (2) 'Wm STONES LTD ... WINES & SPIRITS' on the side wall; (3) 'CANNON ALES' on the front gables and between the chimney stacks on the side; (4) 'WS' and the pub's date in shields on the front, and a roundel with a 'cannon' illustration and 'STONES'; (5) four art nouveau leaded windows on the front with 'Wm STONES LTD', 'CANNON ALES', 'CUTLERS ARMS', 'WINES & SPIRITS'. Duncan Gilmour & Co Ltd Sheffield Sheffield - Attercliffe, Sussex Street North Pole (former) Converted to a place of worship. A very large sign with relief lettering on the right-hand gable wall - 'GILMOUR'S WINDSOR ALE'. This was not visible from the road but could be seen from the train! In 2008, a large extension was built on that side of the building, and the sign was obscured. SP 2003; SP 2008 .

Duncan Gilmour & Co Ltd Sheffield Sheffield - Carbrook, 436 Attercliffe Common Pheasant (later called Stumble Inn) (former) At front and back, glazed margin lights beside the doors are etched with 'D G & Co'. At the back, etched windows 'GILMOUR'S WINDSOR ALES & STOUTS' and 'GILMOUR'S BLENDED GLENLIVET' and engravings of Windsor Castle. This was a CAMRA National Inventory pub, but the interior was gutted in 1999 to create a restaurant, and all Gilmour features have been removed. GB 2002; SP 2003; SP 2011 .

Lettering in relief, dark red on gold: 'DUNCAN GILMOUR & CO LIMITED'. The pub name in similar style above the main door. There are numerous etched windows with 'GILMOUR'S WINDSOR ALES & STOUTS' and the Windsor Castle illustration. Some have 'DG & Co' monograms. Similar windows at the rear also have 'TO THE YARD'.
