Moors' & Robson's Breweries Ltd Hull Hull, 107 Ferensway, corner of Mill Street Broadway Hotel (renamed) It became 'Propaganda Bar'. 'M & R' monograms on nine rainwater heads, on three drainpipes. Hull Brewery Co Ltd (later North Country) Hull Hull, 169 Spring Bank Eagle Hotel - later The Tap (closed) A Victorian 'shop front' with an old fascia 'THE HULL BREWERY CO., LTD.'. Google shows that part of the Hull Brewery fascia was revealed in 2009-2010, and that in 2012, a beautiful restoration of the whole fascia had been carried out, with at least three panels of Hull Brewery lettering restored. Moors' & Robson's Breweries Ltd Hull Hull, Clarence Street / East Street Red Lion In a rectangular stone panel above the side door (East Street), a central crown in relief (brewery trade mark); in each corner, incised lettering: 'M ... R ... 19 ... 39'. Also, M & R' on cast iron rainwater heads. The front elevation has been displaying 'HULL BREWERY' lettering since at least 2008, and large 'M&R' lettering was painted vertically on the right-hand wall from 2018. On the top pediment of the building is a large stone crown - the brewery trade mark - and beneath this are the remains of lettering 'M & R'. Lower down is a small stone plaque with an 'M&R' monogram. The brewery has now been removed and its space converted to a bar, but the lettering 'THE MINERVA BREWERY' in corporate 'Allied' style survives on the exterior. SP photo 2008 Picture
