Greenall Whitley & Co Ltd Warrington Denbigh, 27 High Street Talbot (former) The Greenall Whitley trademark at the end of the ironwork supporting the hanging sign. A historic Grade II listed pub which has been converted to a cafe. The sign bracket survives in 2023. BHK 2012; Google 2023 .

John S Tanqueray & Co Llangollen Llangollen, 20 Castle Street Bull Within the arch of the main window, a bull's head image and a monogram 'LBL'. Thought to be Llangollen Brewery, but needs confirmation. The pub was later owned by Burtonwood Brewery. AH photo 2011 Picture

(1) A very attractive wall panel with the pub name, scrolls in gold, and a gold-painted plaque with monogram 'G W & Co'. (2) An etched window with a similar momogram. Island Green Brewery Co Ltd Wrexham Ruabon, 5 Bridge Street Round House (renamed The Vaults) It had two old etched windows, the left-hand one with 'THE VAULTS'; and the right-hand one in decorative style with 'ISLAND GREEN ALES'. A stone plaque above the door records the date of the pub: 'REBUILT 1904 AD'. Google indicates in 2016 that the 'Vaults' window on the left has survived, but the Island Green window has unfortunately gone. RWo 2007; AH photo 2010; Google 2016 Picture

LIVERPOOL AND STONE'. The lettering had been painted over by 2012. Opposite is the Nags Head, at the rear of which is the last remaining chimney of Soames Brewery (built 1894). Old Swan Brewery Wrexham Wrexham, 6 Abbot Street Old Swan Brewery (former) Old raised lettering on the frontage: 'OLD SWAN BREWERY', and dated 1811. Brian Glover writes: "The Old Swan Brewery was in operation until the 1880s. It was in the hands of the Lovatt family for some 50 years, first Richard and then Edward. It was sold at auction in 1886 to Evan Morris and seems to have stopped brewing around then. It was later a Border Brewery house for many years." TB photo 2012; SP photo 2017 Picture
