The centre one has "Fowler's" on it, the left-hand one has "Fowler's Sweet Stout", and the right-hand one has "Fowler's Strong Ale" - the last is badly damaged. Scottish Brewers Ltd Edinburgh Leith, 5-7 Restalrig Road Links Tavern In 2009, the pub had four leaded windows: the two central ones had gold painted lettering: 'Wm YOUNGER & Co's ... SPARKLING ALE ... EDINBURGH' and 'Wm YOUNGER & Co's ... INDIA PALE ALE ... EDINBURGH'. Each window has an arrangement of triangles in the centre, one of which incorporates 'ESTd 1749'. Google in 2010-2011 indicates that the leaded windows had been replaced. The "new" windows have painted lettering: 'McEWAN'S SCOTTISH ALE' and 'Wm YOUNGER'S DRAUGHT BEER', and in between, painted images of the 'Cavalier' and 'Father William' trade marks. John Fowler & Co Ltd Prestonpans Prestonpans, 227 High Street Gothenburg A microbrewery was installed at the Gothenburg in 2006, initially using the name of the former Fowler's brewery in Prestonpans.
