E Lacon & Co Ltd Great Yarmouth Gorleston, Magdalen Way (corner of Crab Lane) Magdalen Arms (former) Opened 1954. The pub closed in 2016 and was converted to a veterinary centre. Two falcon statuettes on the parapet were removed by 2014. Either side, two plaques set into the walls with falcon illustrations and 'LACONS' beneath, in oval brick-and-stone surrounds. Falcon on a rainwater head. A falcon sits above the surviving pole sign. A wall at the back which featured four panels with falcons, and two falcon statuettes on columns aside the gates, has been removed to enlarge the car park. E Lacon & Co Ltd - W N Burroughs Great Yarmouth Great Yarmouth, 1-2 Market Place Gallon Pot Stone tablet inscribed - "Founded by W.N. Burroughs 1772, Destroyed by enemy action 1943, Rebuilt by E Lacon & Co Ltd 1959". Leaded windows have central panels with a tankard illustration on which is a falcon and the date 1772. Note that Burroughs were wine and spirit merchants; research suggests that Lacons took them over and probably where the Gallon Pot stands was the original site of the Burroughs establishment. Steward & Patteson Ltd Norwich Kings Lynn, Ferry Street Crown & Mitre The hanging sign features 'S & P' lettering on the river side, and a pictorial image on the town side. The sign is a reproduction of the original when the pub was owned by Steward & Patteson. The landlord made the sign himself, reproducing both sides from photos. This pub with a curved frontage was rebuilt by Bullards in about 1956, and has stone tablets high on two gables with the brewery's 'Anchor' trademark. Bullard & Sons Ltd Norwich Norwich, 26 St Leonards Road Jubilee Corner pub, opened as the Jubilee Tavern in 1887. The large etched windows have 'WINES ... SPIRITS ... ALES ... STOUTS' and roundels with 'BULLARD AND SONS ... Brewery Norwich' around an 'Anchor' image. The two corner doors have similar Bullard roundels in the glass. Steward & Patteson Ltd Norwich Norwich, 289 Drayton Road Galley Hill (former) Built in about 1929. Stained glass leaded windows with lettering in white glass: (1) 'ALES - S&P'; (2) 'S&P'. (Other windows have 'BAR'; 'WINES - SMOKE - ROOM - SPIRITS'.) On the fascia above the windows, in carved timber: 'S&P LTD'. AH reports in 2014 that the S&P windows have been replaced, but that the carved S&P in the woodwork survives. The premises were converted to a hair and beuaty salon in about 2008.
