Gartside's (Brookside) Brewery Ltd Ashton-Under-Lyne Middleton, 48 Market Place Bricklayers Arms (former) Fine green glazed-tile frontage with fascia - cream lettering on green - 'GARTSIDES FAMOUS ALES & STOUT'. The pediment above the door has the pub name in similar style. On the end wall, there was a 'Bass' script letter sign until about 2012, when the premises were converted into a pizza takeaway business. SP photo 2006; Google 2012 Picture

Gartside's (Brookside) Brewery Ltd Ashton-Under-Lyne Middleton, 594 Manchester Old Road Barbers Arms (former) Two fine tiled panels, revealed in about 2012 from beneath modern board signs. One on the front elevation, the other on the left-hand side elevation. Both have 'GARTSIDES ALES & STOUT'; the side one also has the pub name.
