Joseph Sharman & Sons Ltd Bolton Bolton, 178 Deansgate Gypsy's Tent (Gipsy's Tent) Barely discernible painted lettering on the end gable wall. Two generations: 'SHARMAN & SONS' and 'SHARMAN'S ALES & STOUT'. Also '... THE BEST'. Overpainted with modern Bass advertising (qv). SP photo 2013 Picture

Bass, Ratcliffe & Gretton Ltd Burton-upon-Trent Bolton, 178 Deansgate Gypsy's Tent (Gipsy's Tent) A newish painted sign on the side wall features a red triangle and 'Bass' script lettering. It partially covers older signs with lettering from the local Joseph Sharman brewery (qv). On the front was a Bass lantern with the pub name incorporated, but this had gone by 2017. Cornbrook Brewery Co Ltd Manchester Bolton, 22 Manor Street Dog & Partridge The small snug to the rear-left has an etched window with 'CORNBROOK ALES' and a 'C' surrounding a wheatsheaf illustration. It was visible from outside down a small street on the left, but the pub was in a derelict condition by 2016, so the window may have gone. SP photo 2006; Google 2016 Picture
