Hewitt Bros Ltd - Tower Brewery, Grimsby Grimsby, Pasture Street Duke of Wellington - in the early 1990s known as Hewitts Tavern Large red roundel - 'H' with Hewitts along bar of the 'H'. Windows - 'Hewitt's Ales Grimsby'. This was effectively Hewitt's brewery tap. It was re-vamped in the early 1990's as Hewitts Tavern when the original style roundel and the windows were fitted. RB 2003; PE 2003 .

It is possible to discern the words Warwick's Newark Ales and Stouts amongst the jumble. The sign may predate the merger with Richardsons in 1890. PE photo 2004 Picture

Bass & Co Ltd - Burton-upon-Trent, Tadcaster, etc Skegness, North Parade Seaview An old photograph displayed inside the bar reveals that the fascia above the windows had stone lettering: 'BASS ONLY' ... 'BASS FROM THE WOOD AND IN BOTTLE' ...'BASS ONLY'. This lettering has been chipped off and painted over; some of it is just discernible, but is very very faint. You need to relate to the photograph inside to be able to detect the Bass lettering. Also a more modern Stones' sign. SP 2005, photo 2008; DLi 2007 Picture
