Truman Hanbury Buxton & Co Ltd - London & Burton-upon-Trent Gillingham, 134 Saunders Street Ghuznee Fort Hotel (former) The former Ghuznee Fort Hotel was renamed 'Countryman' and by 2017 was converted to residential use named 'Countryman Cottages'. A 1900 postcard shows that the pub was owned by Jude, Hanbury & Co of Wateringbury and advertised 'JUDE & Co's WATERINGBURY ALES' across the parapets. Following the acquisition of the pub by Trumans, a tiled ground floor panel was amended to read 'TRUMAN HANBURY & Cos MILD & BITTER ALES': this panel survives, as do the green and cream tiled frontages and attractive tiled fascias reading: 'WINE & SPIRIT MERCHANT ... WINES & SPIRITS'. AH 2018; Google 2015 and 2018 .

W E & J Rigden & Co Faversham Gravesend, 1 Milton Road - corner of Queen Street New Inn (former) Two etched windows - a large one and a smaller one - on the Queen Street elevation with lettering: 'RIGDENS BOTTLED ALES'. The larger window had been replaced by clear glass by 2012. The pub was converted to retail by 2017, but the smaller Rigden's window survives. An oval Whitbread logo survives above the hanging sign: 'WHITBREAD PLC ... 1742' in an oval around the brewery's 'deer' trademark, surrounded by hop and barley decoration. Meux's Brewery Co Ltd - Horseshoe Breweries: London WC1 and SW8 Gravesend, 1 Railway Place Railway Tavern (former) This building has brown Meux Brewery tiles along its whole ground floor elevations. There is a central brown-tiled panel with lettering: 'MEUX'S FAMOUS STOUT AND ALES ... DRAUGHT AND BOTTLE'. The pub was converted to a dessert and ice cream parlour by 2016, and a modern board sign advertising the cafe has been installed over the Meux lettering. Fascia tiles on two elevations, dark green lettering on cream: (1) 'WINES ... LUNCHEONS ... SPIRITS ... T A HOOPER ... SHRIMP BRAND BEERS'; (2) 'WINES ... AND SPIRITS ... T A HOOPER ... SHRIMP BRAND BEERS'. Shrimp was a Russell's brand. Between the first and second floor windows is fine old lettering: 'TAVERN & HOTEL ... TERRACE TAVERN', and there are two tiled panels at ground floor level with the pub name. There is also a fading Truman's board sign. Grade 2 listed. Above is lettering 'FREMLIN WALK'. To its left, the Fremlin's office building survives, topped by a weather vane with a gilded elephant - the brewery trade mark. Tomson & Wotton Ltd Ramsgate Ramsgate, Harbour Parade / Kent Terrace Harp / Refectory The Harp was combined with the Refectory in 1936, and is now a large amusement arcade. At the top of each pillar is a stone relief of the brewery monogram: 'T & W Ld'. The pillars and monograms are now all painted white. Martin Weselby provides a wonderful photo of his gg-parents, probably in the 1920s, standing in front of the 'Refectory' in its Tomson & Wotton livery.
