Marston's Dolphin Brewery Ltd Poole Bournemouth, 316 Holdenhurst Road Dolphin (former) On the front gable, a recessed stone panel with trademark coat of arms in relief incorporating a dolphin, surmounted by a datestone - 1885. Over each front door is a stone lintel featuring two dolphins and a shield. The pub has been converted to a Tesco supermarket, but the carved dolphins survive. Charles E Ellis Wimborne Bournemouth, Magna Road Bear Cross Hotel A blind dormer supporting a chimney at the north end with initials 'CS' and date 1931 picked out in contrasting bricks. Query: are the initials 'CE'? 2009: the brickwork on the dormer has been painted white, and a modern pub name sign painted on it. The former brick lettering is now obscured. RF 2002; SP 2009 .

John Groves & Sons Ltd Weymouth Chiswell (Portland), 88 Chiswell Kings Arms (former) The pub was closed in 1972 and is now a house. On the frontage at first floor level is a stone tablet: 'JOHN GROVES & SONS LIMITED'. The letters had been filled in and rubbed down but just discernable - see photo from 2006. Marston's Dolphin Brewery Ltd Poole Poole, Old Orchard Swan Inn Has a marvellous frontage of green glazed bricks; lovely cream tiled fascia with two swan illustrations and brown lettering: 'MARSTON'S POOLE ALES - THE SWAN INN - WINES & SPIRITS'. Glazed Dolphin as the keystone in arch of doorway. By 2010, had reopened as a shop, and the Marston's tiling was covered over. In 2019, the tiles were again revealed. J Young in Old Dorset Brewers lists Isaac Woolmington brewer 1855-71. Woolmington Brothers was taken over by Eldridge Pope in 1922. The old brewery has been converted into flats.
