Nottinghamshire - Newark-on-Trent, North Gate: Warwicks & Richardsons Ltd Northgate Brewery (former)
Founded by Samuel Sketchley at the Tower Wharf Brewery in 1766 and was acquired by Richard Warwick in 1856. Northgate Brewery development began in 1871. Registered in 1888. Merged Richard Warwick & Sons and Richardson, Earp & Slater, Trent Brewery in 1890 to form Warwicks & Richardsons Ltd. Acquired by John Smith's Tadcaster Brewery Co Ltd in1962 and brewing ceased in 1966.
